Endorsement Blog!

I do not really support any of the current republican candidates but if I had to choose one it would be Mitt Romney. I am still in favor of our current President Barack Obama for the simple fact that he has been a good President ever since he got into office. President Obama never really had a opportunity to do all he wanted to do as President because the government and also the people do not give him a chance to try to complete one job, before they throw another one on his desk. As I said before, being President has its perks and can be very stressful at times since its so overwhelming. Out of all the republican candidates Mitt Romney seems like the best one I would give my support to. Romney is 65 years old and was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 12, 1947. When he graduated he wen to Brigham Young University and Harvard University. Harvard University is one of the best schools in the country, so by Mitt Romney attending that university gives him a broader education versus other colleges closer to where he lived. Romney has been affiliated with some part of the government for many years now. He was elected governor of Massachusetts in 2003 and has held that position until the day he decided to run for President in 2008. Mitt Romney may not have the most experience as appose to the other republican candidates but he has enough. In the end, I believe he will win the spot for the 2012 Republican candidate  to run against President Barack Obama. I feel this way because he is strong, understandable, compassionate, willing, fighter and also a father. All of those characteristics can define the perfect President. In conclusion, I still am on the Obama side but Mitt Romney has his head on strong and is a leader and it will be a very good"fight" for Presidency between the two of them.

Michele Bachman's Drop Out!

During last week's republican primaries Michele Bachman dropped out the race. I feel that she is coward for quitting the race because she came in 6th place. It doesnt matter if she came in last place or second place she could have still tried to make her way up. By saying that, when it was time for the candidates to head to South Carolina she probably could have came in third place. Wherever they went to after comin from South Carolina it could have possibly made her way all the way up to either second or first. On another note, I do not understand why Michele Bachman decided to run for Presidency in the first place. She has so much stuff on her plate, starting from having so many kids of her own and also opening up her home to so many foster children. That is way to much of a load to handle while in the race to becomin President. In conclusion, it was a bad move for her to drop out after all the work she did to get where she was at. Secondly, it was also a bad move to run in the first place but I respect her for running because it showed that she has courage and thought she would be able to getthe job done.

Crying is NATURAL!

I heard there were rumors about my cry session,

But here’s my confession.

Yeah I was having a moment about my mother’s death,

And how when she read me goodnight stories all I smelt was alcohol on her breath.

People think that was all just for show,

But they don’t really know.

Mitt made a comment about him “not going to cry”,

But I ask the question why?

Why not cry, if you are hurt or sad.

Who doesn’t cry, don’t throw me under your boot just join the loop.

By not letting the tears flow, the madder you grow.

I will not let the comments stop me,

I will look at them as a key to unlock the door to the 2012 Election.

When are you too old to run for President?

In my opinion I feel that there should be a law that says something about an age limit, for when you would like to run for President. I feel this way because being the President of the United States comes with a lot of responsibility. By saying that, I mean sometimes the amount of stuff the President has to do can be very stressful. Nobody wants to have a President who cannot take a lot of work on their plate at one time. Being a President you need to come into the election preparing yourself to have your desk piled up with a ton of work. Majority of all the republican candidates are up in age, which in my opinion they should not even waste their time. Also, a President serves four years as President and can serve another term if elected again. For example, Newt Gingrich is 69 years old, Mitt Romney is 65 years old, and Ron Paul is 77 years old. All three candidates are in their late 60s or 70s and about time they get out of office they are going to be almost 80 years old. In conclusion, if you over the age of 70 before you get elected you should not be able to run for President of the United States.

Final Blog Post Reflection

If it was my 1st year of college some specific elements of high school that I might miss is, my teacher letting me slide with turning in late homework. Also, having the teacher care about you to let you make up any work you missed, giving you weekly progress reports to let you know how you are doing. My best critical analysis blog post was President Obamas’ Anti-Bullying Campaign. It was my best because it was well written, thought out, and fully explained. This topic will stick with me because bullying happens everywhere and it is a major topic in our country. Bullying needs to stop and I will continue to talk about it until it all ends. Yes, I might continue to blog when this class is over, but I doubt if it is for a long time. Blogging is fun but when I get in college I will not have enough time to do it anymore. I really do not know how I will be an ambassador for social, professional and academic digital life because I doubt if I can live up to the expectations of an ambassador. I might try to make a change through social life but as far as being an ambassador I distrust that it is for me. The basic factors that make the digital divide are that, wired broadband companies are being greedy and selfish. Also, rural areas in our country cannot get internet access because they live where they live, but it is under questioned whether the government should have wired broadband available everywhere or just in urban areas. I can speak up and talk about why everybody should all have internet access because every voice counts even the little ones. Online social media literacy means being able to read or understand information online and on social media websites.  It is necessary because if you would like a well-paying job or make it in life you need to be literate.

Digital Divide*

In class we read an article inside The New York Times “Upfront” magazine called “the Digital Divide”. In our country, it is an invisible divider that divides the western rural areas and the urban eastern areas. Urban areas on the east have wired broadband available whereas rural western areas do not have that available to them. The people who live in the western part of country are at a disadvantage because they have no internet access. The students who are in the college application process and the students who want to apply on line for a job are really backed up in the corner because they cannot do what they have to do.  They need the internet so they do the things they need to do. The government is being questioned about whether they should keep the country like it is meaning the way it is divided. Or should they make the country all equal by having available wired broadband in the areas who do not have it. I contemplate that the government should make a change to our country. They need to have internet that is accessible to each and everybody in our country. It will better please a lot of people who do not have internet access, that they now will have it.

Cyber Warfare.."

Recently Cyber Warfare has been a topic that everybody is talking about. Cyber Warfare is defined as “the use of computers and the Internet in conducting warfare in cyberspace.” I think if we have any more real and serious war it will be on the through computers. Yes, it is less dangerous and if it came down it deciding which war you would want (i. e. cyber or physical), a number of people would say cyber. But little do they know yes, the plus side of cyber warfare is that is less people dying but our whole country is based on the internet. By saying that, it something happens to the internet people would go crazy. The results of cyber warfare will affect a lot of people and affect the country as well. It will mainly affect the people who use the internet on a regular basis. Those people are not the only ones affected; the ones outside that circle will be affected also. Other countries or people within our own country can hack into our top secret databases and get information or secret codes, so they can possibly ruin our country/world.  I hope there are not any more wars of any type anytime soon, anywhere especially in the United States.
